Dear business partners,

in 2026, mechanical engineering is running on low – capacity utilisation is just 77.8% (VDMA, June). At low load, every unplanned shutdown hurts twice as much: a leaking shaft seal, an overloaded coupling – and the line stops.

This is where our PMKC magnetic couplings come in: torque transmitted without contact, through a closed separation wall – no shaft seal, no leakage path, no wear on overload.

Drive without a leakage path
Hermetically sealed, maintenance-free, short lead times

Two halves fitted with rare-earth magnets transmit torque without contact – across a non-magnetic separation wall of e.g. stainless steel, titanium, ceramic or PEEK. The process space stays hermetically sealed: no shaft seal, no leakage path.

On overload, the coupling slips – without wear. This protects downstream components and keeps it maintenance-free.

How to choose: rated torque, separation wall (material and thickness = air gap) and environment (temperature, medium) decide.

How it works: the motor drives the input disc – torque flows without contact across the air gap to the output disc and the pump.
