Eleven calculators, a selection assistant and a reference work
Sizing questions rarely come up at your desk. They come up on the shop floor, at the customer's site or at a trade fair — exactly where no laptop is within reach.
TEA Tools puts eleven calculators and a selection assistant on your phone: torque, gear ratio, efficiency, L10 service life, linear guide, ball screw, screw jack, moment of inertia, magnetic coupling, rack and pinion, gear geometry and the gear type selector. Added to that are the product recommendation and a technical glossary of 52 terms — all in German and English.
The app is free of charge and contains no advertising and no in-app purchases. It is published by L45 Vertriebs GmbH, part of the TEA Hamburg group.
No account, no data collection — no internet permission
Anyone typing a customer project’s sizing data into an app should know where it goes.
The app has no internet permission. It opens no connection of its own and can neither send nor analyse your entries — that is not a promise in a privacy policy but a property of the program. There is no account, no registration and no usage analytics.
All calculators work entirely offline. Including where there is no reception, in the hall or a basement.

Open in Google PlayShared calculation cores — and a route to an enquiry
Rack and pinion, efficiency, ball screw, magnetic coupling and the product recommendation come from the same verified source in both the app and the website, and are calculated against the same test vectors. Individual reference values and display rules may nevertheless differ between app and website — where you notice that, the figure on the website applies.
If you then need a quotation, the app opens your browser with a pre-filled enquiry. Beforehand it shows you which values will be passed on — sending it off is up to you.
