Pull-Out Torque
The pull-out torque is the maximum torque a magnetic coupling transmits before the magnetic coupling breaks and the coupling slips through.
Overload Protection and Design
If the pull-out torque is exceeded, the inner and outer rotor decouple and the coupling slips through without transmitting torque. This behaviour acts as integrated overload protection: the drivetrain is protected against blockages and torque peaks. For design, the pull-out torque is chosen with a safety factor (typically 1.5–2.0) above the operating torque — depending on starting behaviour, load peaks and duty type.
